It needs a sheltered spot away from winds. Also requires protection from frosts and will need shade from extreme heat in desert areas.
This is a small South American tree like shrub with a height of 10- 15 feet. This plant has very appealing large trumpet shaped flowers that hang upside down from the branches. They first appear white and eventually turn into peach or pink. The light fragrance is more noticeable at night.
