Description:

A strikingly beautiful conifer with blue to blue-green needles that grow in clusters. An exceptionally blue tree was the original cultivar found in the Atlas Mountains in North Africa. Juvenile trees tend to have a pyramidal form, older trees tend to become flat topped with horizontal or ascending branching. Branching starts low to the ground. Does not need pruning.

Optimal Soil:

Sandy loam, well drained. Will tolerate heavier soil but needs well cultivated soil so that the roots are not hampered.
