Description:

Native to the eastern United States. Pretty small rose/purple colored flowers bloom on the bare branches in winter. Visually interesting as the flowers bloom along the length of the twigs and branches, and even on the trunk. The flowers are followed by green heart shaped leaves which turn yellow and orange in fall.

Prefers neutral to slightly alkaline soil
