A warm temperate climate is best. Fronds burn in cold weather but will recover. Slow growing so space is not an issue.
As the common name suggests the palm is small in size. It has long pinnate, fine textured leaves that are greyish to green in color. It grows as a single or multi stemmed plant.

It requires well drained soil and nutrient rich soil to proliferate.
