Description:

Native to Africa where wild animals feed on it - hence the common name of 'Elephant Food'. This is a small tree or shrub, which looks similar to the jade plant. It has small rounded leaves and the stems are red. Small pinkish flowers are produced in summer when the plant has not received much water.

Optimal Soil:

Sandy loam, but is adaptable to most soil types.
